This week, the Rosenberg Foundation announced the fourth formation of the 2025 – 2027 Leading Edge Fund fellows, introducing us to eight bold movement leaders who are advancing transformative movements throughout California. These leaders will receive $270,000 each in general support over three years to progress their visions for change and bold ideas that lasting transformation demands. In addition to funding, fellows participate in individualized technical assistance around program development, fundraising, strategic communications, and executive coaching. “We’re already hearing that parents are scared to send their kids to school because they are worried that immigration agents might target schools. But we have been here before and we are prepared.” Nikki Fortunato Bas, Alameda County Supervisor for District 5, recently addressed the newly formed ad hoc committee Alameda County Together for All, or ACT for All. The committee held its first meeting earlier this month and will continue gathering twice-a-month to hear updates from various departments. As chair of ACT for All, Supervisor Bas reaffirmed her commitment to “fight for an Alameda County that fights to protect all our communities. We are a living example of a county that cares for the most vulnerable among us.” Read more about ACT for All here in The Oaklandside, KALW, Politico, and Sing Tao Daily.
