We are so excited to announce that our team has grown to continue to meet the needs of the racial and social justice leaders we work with every day.

Welcome Cedric, Nicole and Kyung Jin

Cedric Brown, APR joined Change Consulting in March 2022 as a Sr. Communications Manager on our Engagement team, leading digital media efforts for our clients and leveraging digital strategy to influence narrative change that leads to equitable outcomes. His decade of expertise includes the use of analytics and research to develop content that achieves social impact. Cedric has earned international recognition in the profession for both his work and diversity, equity, and inclusion advocacy efforts.

Cedric’s past work includes leading digital strategies for Advancement Project National Office, a national racial justice organization that utilizes movement lawyering and communications to help communities take back their power. Cedric’s campaigns included collaborations with Ben & Jerry’s, Players Coalition Charitable Foundation, and local grassroots organizations across the country in the collective effort to advocate for voting rights and protection, immigrant rights, justice system reform, and education justice.

Prior to Advancement Project National Office, Cedric managed digital efforts for education and health clients at Hager Sharp, a communications agency in Washington, DC. Notably, Cedric led social media strategy and website project management for the National Assessment of Educational Progress, a program underneath the U.S. Department of Education.

Cedric is Accredited in Public Relations by the Public Relations Society of America. He earned his Master of Science in Public Relations from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. His Bachelor of Business Administration is from Northwood University with an emphasis on marketing and management.

Nicole Carroll also joined Change Consulting in March as a Sr. Communications Manager on our Engagement team to support our clients in creating compelling content that advances social change, garners awareness of injustices, and helps them to engage with their communities.

As a former consultant, Nicole helped clients reach target audiences by developing messaging, crafting strategic communications plans, launching social media campaigns, and drafting media relations materials.

Nicole previously worked with Compass Family Services, where she advocated for affordable housing opportunities for homeless families living in San Francisco. In her work there, she informed community members about the growing housing inequality in the Bay Area and pushed for policies that positively impacted those most affected by San Francisco’s housing crisis.

In her roles with public relations agencies, Nicole supported clients such as the National Institutes of Health and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Through advocacy and storytelling, her work helped to increase public health awareness and promote policies that improved educational opportunities for girls and students of color.

Nicole graduated from the University of Maryland with a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and received her master’s in International Affairs from The New School. After living in the District of Columbia, New York City, and San Francisco, she has finally decided to call Atlanta home. In her free time, Nicole enjoys spending time with her family, jogging, and leading her book club, which focuses primarily on novels written by women of color.

Our first-ever full time team member, Kyung Jin Lee returns to Change Consulting as Communications Director on our engagement team, helping drive our earned media efforts after a tenure in-house with Impact Justice where she ran its communications department.

Kyung Jin Lee is a veteran community and cultural movement builder, journalist, and communications professional. She spent more than a decade advocating for Asian and Korean American immigrants in the United States, peace and reunification in Korea, and building national and international solidarity. She then received a master’s degree in journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University so she could further amplify the stories of her communities. Her stories aired on public radio outlets and programs including NPR, The World, KQED News, and KALW News.

She has since turned her focus back to supporting movement leaders and their organizations working towards racial and social justice through strategic communications.

Dina Sigal has been with us since 2018, when she joined as Sr. Communications Manager leading and shaping our content, strategy and research services that form the foundation for a strong and sustainable communications program. We are excited to announce that she will now serve as Communications Director on our Strategy team.

Dina comes from a long line of storytellers, movers in their own right, and those that lean in to their curiosity. Her passion for advancing racial and social justice derives from being a first generation immigrant and experiencing firsthand the inequities that millions more continue to be forced to navigate through. She is committed to using the power of research, narrative, and stories to drive action and create change within those systems.

Please join us in welcoming Cedric, Nicole and Kyung Jin and congratulating Anna and Dina.
