This May Day, Change Consulting stands in solidarity with workers across this country, honoring the generations who fought for dignity and continuing that effort by demanding a nation that puts workers first. When so many are navigating rising costs, long hours, and uncertainty in this political climate, we choose connection over isolation and collaboration over division. We’re especially grateful for our partners who stand alongside us in building workplaces and systems that value people first. Together, we listen, we learn, and we keep pushing toward something better.

“We get the opportunity to celebrate workers, to celebrate immigrant workers, the folks who make our country run, and the folks who power Silicon Valley.” Rebeca Armendariz, Director of Movement Building at Working Partnerships USA, and others across the country are paying tribute to the labor movement and the ongoing fight for safe, fair working conditions. Community members in San Jose organized a march to support workers’ rights. Learn more by watching the clip from KRON4 above.

Executive Director of the Black Freedom Fund, Marc Philpart, joined an episode of The Raid with John Carlos Frey to discuss how the lessons of Black empowerment and the civil rights struggles of the past can help inform the immigration rights movement of today. Watch the full episode above.

Grassroots resistance to immigration enforcement is growing across the U.S. as neighborhood-based groups mobilize to monitor activity, protect vulnerable communities, and challenge federal policies. In San Francisco, our partners at Bay Resistance and other activists recently shut down a suspected ICE-linked operation. “You can’t implement fascism when everyone comes out and watches,” Bay Resistance Organizing Director Jane Martin said in the San Francisco Chronicle.
