Xuanlana “Lana” (she/her/hers) is an artist, creative strategist, and mom with over 15 years of experience leading human-centered creative for purpose-driven partners
In 2001, after working with Arnold Worldwide and the influential Truth anti-tobacco campaign, Xuanlana experienced how deeply a brand narrative could effect public change. Since then, she has produced art and campaigns for partners such as Maker Education, the Ronald McDonald House, Earthjustice, the Children’s Creativity Museum, and the Kapor Center. She has worked with a diverse group of visionaries and creative producers and helped develop ethical standards for visual storytelling that centers people in both narrative and process.
Having studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and UC Berkeley, Xuanlana’s background is rooted in fine arts and community advocacy. Recognizing the transformative power of art practice, she has volunteered her time for over a decade in arts education and advocacy, working with students and incarcerated youth throughout the Bay Area and Chicagoland. Given this background, she is committed to creative partnership and its deep value to communities when done with sensitivity, intent, and respect.
